Baby Joe!

We saw Steve and Vicki's new baby last night. And I got to hold him all evening, although he wouldn't wake up, no matter how hard I tried! He was very cute, with lots of dark hair like a mini Steve!

Friday!

Yey! Its F..F..F...FRIDAY! The garage have said my car is now fixed. Hoorah! Had a good time last night at Laura's Ann Summers Party. The christmas catalogue is now available but I dont think Im quite brave enough to wear those items down the pub at Christmas Eve!

Monday news.

I now have a nice little VW Lupo while my Polo is being fixed. It doesn't go as fast but at least its reliable. (Touchwood!) Caroline and I went to another new Pilates class yesterday and my stomach now hurts when I cough, so that must be a good sign! I'm also a little worried about my wasteline now, as I read in a magazine that if your waist measurement divided by your hip measurement is more than 0.8 then that is bad! And mine is 0.8! Must reduce my portion sizes I think and get on the cross trainer more! Or maybe I can widen my hips, that might get the number down!

Lawnwatch

After a weekend  unable to upload my ISP has fixed the problem and Im pleased to bring you a lawnwatch update! Click the small image and now you will get to see the full photo so can see the spread of the grass even better. If there is one thing I know how to do well, its make boring things even more boring!

Christmas in October

There aren't many people who are more into Christmas than Kate and I, but even we know where to draw the line. Just been to Woking looking for something to get Kate for her impending birthday and BHS have great big signs advertising their Christmas Shop. Inside the store its not just a few shelfs of novelty gifts, but aisle upon aisle of the stuff, complete with decorations hanging from the ceiling. The only thing missing was Slade, (that will probably come next week...)

The other problem with stores filling their shelfs with Christmas products can be found in Card Shops. The closer you get to Christmas the less and less room they leave for Birthday Cards, which is why the closer your birthday is to December 25th the crappier the cards you receive. But even today, in the middle of October there was almost half a store full of Christmas Cards. All this is my way of saying, "Kate - dont go expecting anything decent for your birthday".

Public transport!

And another thing! Its the first time I've used the train to get to work today and the bloody train is cancelled! Surprise, surprise! And there was a rather smelly drunk man on it (at 9am)! Another reason for not using public transport!

Car trouble!

My poor car is still foxing the mechanics at the garage! They have tried various parts and still cant get it too work. Apparently the guy in the workshop is 'pulling his hair out'! At least its under warranty.

Bloody pigeons!

The pigeons are becoming much braver! They have been trying to eat our grass seed since it was sown. You used to be able to just go to the window and they would fly off, but now you have to go out there and shoo them away! Im going to have to get a water pistol soon! The grass is coming along nicely by the way!

Lawnwatch!

As if our site wasn't dull and boring enough already, we now bring you Lawnwatch. You too can now share in the experience that is the growth of our grass seed. In the box on the right of this page you will see the latest photo from our back garden, it all looks very green, I think Kate photographed the best bit but even so - look we've grown something. I can feel my fingers turning green...

The grass has grown!

Okay its very short so far but green is showing! Its so exciting! Well for us that is! It may seem a little sad to other people but we've never grown something like this before! Stay tuned for updates on how long it has got!
